the sleep project

one of the current series i'm hoping to try is "the sleep project".

basically all and everything to do with shut eyes i'll be attempting to showcase it in this series. night as well. inspiration basically from the streets at night so more would be coming from all around singapore after the sun has set.

This is the first one and as you can read, i typed tespot as its pre-title. ThESleePprOjecT. get it?
and this one entitled CatPOT. C(at)pot, get it? :p

This one dates earlier than the bamboo picture previously. in fact, this is the first photo i "commissioned" from my Canon 350D. faux lomo-ed it as well. i'm hoping to get myself better and faster lenses because it isn't easy doing night shots. it is a definite infinitely interesting experience doing it in the secluded and lonely streets and it allows for quiet contemplation as well but sometimes getting the right mood for it can be quite tough.

as for this one, it isn't really a night shot but i couldn't resist the cute cat.

"faux lomo"

this will be the start of many. i'm still thinking of whether to publish the photos in flikr.

anyway~ got a few personal photo series i'm trying to do. been doing some trial and errors as well and practising my post processing with photoshop.

for this one, it would be part of my own group of photos i call "faux lomo". i'm not intending to put it in a series because i can sense that a major part of my photo-taking would be done the faux lomo way.

what's faux lomo? i'm not sure if anyone else has coined this term but i named this after being inspired by lomography. lomographs have that vintage vibe to it and personally i feel it adds punch and depth to photos.

faux
, being false. and lomo, for lomograph. took awhile to get the best steps to photoshop photos this way but think i finally got it. might improve more with more experience but for now i guess i'm satisfied.

one year on.....

new phase begins now...
