Exclusive Interview: Author of "Losing It"
Interviewer: Your poem is called "Losing It"...why?
Anonymous author: Well, to put it simply, the title "Losing It" actually refers to losing his/her virginity intentionally and this short poem of mine is about me finding out that my girlfriend is actually not a virgin. The poem don't seem to make sense, that is why the title is "Losing It". i want readers to think about the title and compare it with the poem.
Interviewer: You actually had a girlfriend who is not a virgin?
Anonymous author: Nah, it's just me imagining it. Explains the quality of the poem.
Interviewer: What's your problem on this issue of having a girlfriend who is not a virgin?
Anonymous author: Someone who manages to keep his/her virginity until marriage, to me, is someone who is admirable. I feel virginity is a gift for that person who have stayed with you through thick and thin until marriage and i have said this many times before. Many people lose their virginity with their boyfriends or girlfriends. But tell me, how solid is a relationship outside of marriage? Once their boyfriends or girlfriends leave them, they say, "Oh, i've made a mistake". Yeah true, they have made a mistake, but why didn't they think about it sooner? Like one of my friends said, it is just a way to fulfill their physical desire. And i agree. And i know that this poem could cause controversy and thus, let me explain that this is my view. So it is what i think.
Since young, i have alot of respect for the other sex. And i really mean alot. So to find out that someone i love is not a virgin shows how much she respects me. You might think i'm crazy but i really have strong feelings about this issue.
Interviewer: No, i don't think you're crazy.
Anonymous author: Oh good.
Interviewer: Since you have strong felings about this issue, what if one of your friends is not a virgin.
Anonymous author: Oh, that'd be no problem. Cause they have their own views. It's just that i won't have a serious relationship with them. And i'm talking about the girls. I'm no gay.
Interviewer: Confirm.
Anonymous author: Confirm.
Interviewer: Why are you being a parrot?
Anonymous author: I'm not being a parrot. I always use the word confirm.
Interviewer: Confirm. Thanks for your time.
